Over and out - ¡A explorar entonces!

¡Buenos días desde Panamá!

Now it's over ... 11 months community service in Panama have been inclined towards its inevitable end, and I'm going with a good load of experience and impressions. But before I turn back to the missing 'homeland' return, I am going now the last three weeks with my mother through the country and even the odd spot of the country see that I still do not know! :)

first time but I will tell you now from the last two weeks here at Cepas, in which I have yet seen anything.

For example, I've ventured into my most distant village, there to pass footballs donated volunteer Carina

Our projects on a larger map

The way there was pretty impressive, and somewhat cumbersome.

The River Calovébora is one of the major rivers that originate in the central mountain range, depending on the season (or Tagesziet) to provide a tearing river or a quiet stream ...

crystal clear water and pure on the banks Djngel!

The river bed is huge and although the river was calm, we had to the hips through the water wade

The village school was 7 years ago, built with funds from the third world circle Panama eV - because no government funds in these remote regions come ...

stands in the village on a stone and a plaque, where support for the construction of water lines from Herdecke manifests is

the ball I had been barely five seconds off his hand because he was already in use immediately! :)

On the last part of the way back then there was the sleeping river to life when a heavy shower came from the mountains - in less than 10 minutes the river was about a meter deep and a 1-2m stream to a 15-20m wide river has become true.
These circumstances have caused many deaths in the region, which is why bridges are still urgently needed. The village has its Bilingüe get 3 years ago, after drowning in the previous rainy season, two teachers and one student was ...

My enthusiasm and perplexity about the beauty of this region is probably the glut of photos taken - it was even though it was not so easy absolute value, and from the tourist point of view.
course I have so but also learned about another type of difficult accessibility, and regions such as these have been supported for some time more of organizations like Cepas, however, the many poor infrastructure and the associated costs that the aid to arrive here Season methods ...

And once again I have documented some of my adventure with video (also available without an account!):

am for the long-awaited World Cup final but sad at the weekend I went to Panama City to there with friends in Public viewing to see the victory of the Spaniards ...

Most Panameños course, were happy with Spain as a world champion - I would have preferred Germany as seen ... :-P
the rest of the time I still have a lot of (annoying) paper work behind me, was particularly weak finish the endnotes are still found to be correct fun because everything I in as much detail as possible bureaucratic must enter into an Excel spreadsheet ... When I look up to this point not quite sure, was then has shown me through this monster definitely Liquid correctness, that the bureaucracy in developing countries, where it was also not invented here comes here to its full bloom!

And actually it was the already too! Incredible, how fast is under year ago, when we experience something.
Although my "other service abroad" to this day ends, this is not the end of my blog - because I'll tell you definitely still on my journey through the country. And then also by the departure from here and return home in Germany ...

a nice summer and all the returnees a good flight home!
the new volunteers Luise , Jule and Simon, already on 5 and 10 Come August, I wish a good time and once I have the blog address, I will publish them here!

your Niklas
